What type of venue?
We carefully select venues that convey the appropriate atmosphere for the particular event.
In the current climate with most companies experiencing financial restraint, we are aware that both private and public sector organizations have limited budgets and so we select accordingly.

The range of venues considered includes:
  • ‘Eco-friendly’ conference centres
  • University and college venues (for academic events)
  • Royal Colleges (for medical conferences)
  • Sports stadia (eg football, racetrack, cricket ),for large events with a difference)
  • Hotels with leisure facilities
  • Hotels with sports or outdoor activities for corporate days
All venues are obliged to have disabled facilities supplied, but we take extra care that special needs are well provided for.

Priorities for delegates:
We receive feedback from conference evaluations which time and time again mention the following as priorities:
  • Natural daylight
  • Comfortable seating
  • Good food
  • Conveniently placed rooms (ie not spread around a building involving a route march)
  • Car parking
  • Proximity to public transport
  • Disabled facilities
We always consider delegates’ comments and act upon them.

We will almost always negotiate a reduced rate with the chosen venue. There are sometimes exceptions with academic venues, for example, who are tied to specific rates, but many venues, especially these days, expect to be asked for a discount.

The search process
Once we have identified a few suitable venues, if we do not know the facilities we will personally visit them and report our recommendations to you to allow you to make your choice. If we have been commissioned to organise a conference and this is part of the project, then we will continue to liaise with the venue right up to the day of the conference.
Alternatively your requirements may be to have a venue identified and booked on your behalf, at which point we would pass all details to you.
